Poem

I want love, I do

But love is hard to find

If it is not right for you

 

I want a guy to walk with

A guy’s hand to hold

A guy to keep me warm

When the nights get too cold

 

A guy to kiss in the rain

Though it is cliche

I want a guy who loves me for me

A guy who is fun to be with

And who is who he wants to be

A guy to laugh with

And some times cry

 

A guy who will look me in the eye

and say

I love you

 

I know this love sounds too good to be true

But I think this is the kind of love you want too

No one is flaw-less and the same goes for love

But love waits and when you are ready it could be what you have dreamed of

 

 

 

 

 

How to

How to make banana bread:

You will need:

1/2 cup of butter

1 cup of sugar

2 eggs

2 cups of sifted all- purpose flour

1 tsp. of baking soda

3/4 tsp. of salt

1/2 cup of buttermilk/ or 1 tbsp. of vinegar to 1/2 cup of milk

  1. Pre-heat oven to 365 F
  2. Get all of your ingredients out and in one place, this is called mise en place, also get out a mixer
  3. Put the butter in the microwave, on defrost, for thirty seconds at a time until softened
  4. Pour the sugar into the mixing bowl with the softened butter, and cream them together until smooth
  5. Then add eggs and mix until the eggs are incorporated with the sugar and butter mixture
  6. Sift dry ingredients into a separate bowl
  7. Measure out buttermilk/milk, vinegar mixture
  8. Mash up bananas and measure it
  9. Then alternate wet and dry into the mixing bowl
  10. Mix until everything is creamed together
  11. Pour batter into a loaf pan
  12. Bake for 60 minutes
  13. Stick a toothpick in middle of the loaf to see if it is done, if the toothpick comes out with batter on it, it’s not done so put the loaf back in the oven for about two minutes at a time until the toothpick comes out clean
  14. Enjoy!

 

Christmas Story House

Okay so let me give you a little background.

My dad hates his job. In order for my dad to quit his job, my mom had to get a higher paying job. My mom was an E.A. at Overall Creek Elementary, but it paid half as much compared to if you were a teacher. To make more money my mom went back to college, to get a degree, to be a teacher. My mom has now finished college and is a certified teacher at Overall. However, she hasn’t officially graduated yet.

The reason I gave you all of that background that may seem irrelevant, is because it means that at the end of April we get to go to Ohio to watch my mom graduate. Also while we’re there my dad wants to go to the Christmas Story house because that’s his favorite Christmas movie. We are going to go inside the Christmas Story house and take a tour of it. However, the house was already booked for the nights we are going to be there, so we couldn’t stay the night in the house. Instead, we will be staying, next door, in the “Bumpus” house.

I am really excited!! We’re going to be in the actual house where they filmed a movie! A Christmas movie, to be exact, which makes it even better!

When my dad told my grandpa we were going there he said, ” Well why would you wanna go there, it’s not Christmas.” Which I thought was funny.

Why Can’t it be Summer Already?

The school year is sooooo long. I mean our freshman year is almost over, and summer is only two months away, but I’m done with school. In fact, I’ve been done with school since we started school.

I have pretty good grades. I like most of my teachers. Days and weeks go by fast enough, I guess. I’m just done with getting up early. I’m done with people that get on my nerves. I just want to wake up whenever I want and get to do whatever, without having to worry about the stuff that’s going on at school. On the weekends I am so happy, but then on like Sunday I think about everything I have to do at school, and I’m already dreading the week to come.

Also, most of my grandparents are retired now, and I want to be able to spend as much time with them as I can because they’re not going to be around forever. During our breaks I can spend a few nights with them and make plans for any day. However, during the school week we can only plan to do stuff on the weekends.

My brother comes home for about a week in the summer, and I haven’t seen him since February 8th. I know that’s only about two months, but when you go from seeing someone every day to a few days every few months, it’s kinda hard. I also love it when we go to see my brother or he comes to see us and everyone in my family is together, for something other than a birthday party. We all have such a good time, well I do anyway.

One can only take so much of school. I do like seeing my friends at school. The faster this school year is over, the faster summer is over, and the faster I have to leave my friends to go to Rockvale. I also really don’t want to take EOC’s or even just be in each class period for that long. Although, I am super excited to go swimming this summer, have sleepovers, wake up whenever I want, and do whatever.

Current Event

I don’t watch the news or pay attention to drama that is irrelevant in my life. I don’t know what pops up on Instagram or what floats around Twitter, I don’t even have Twitter. However, I do happen to occasionally watch the news, when my dad turns it on and I’m not allowed to change the channel.

When I was watching the news, the R. Kelly case was on. It was the interview of him and Gayle King. The interview was about his side of the story of him not paying child support and young women accusing him of rape. Some people might have believed that he didn’t do any of it, until they watch the interview.

I was one of those people. I didn’t know anything about that case until that interview and my mom explained it to me. I didn’t think he had done any of it, just because I didn’t know if there was evidence to back it up, and I barely knew anything about it. Then I watched the interview.

He was crazy! I mean I understand that he was upset and he didn’t want to be guilty, even if he was, but he looked like he was gonna beat Gayle up. Which probably wasn’t the best thing for his case. He looked like a psychopath, which led me to believe that he did what he was accused of doing. I also think he was behind on paying child support because they put him in jail for the first time he didn’t pay, then while he was in jail he couldn’t work. If he wasn’t working then he still couldn’t pay child support because he wasn’t making any money.

In my opinion, I think R. Kelly did do the things he was accused of doing because in the videos that I’ve seen, he acted like a psychopath. However, I don’t have actual proof of that, and I don’t know everything about the case.

I will say, I do like some of his music though.
